Our latest [#BHLat20](https://blog.biodiversitylibrary.org/tag/bhlat20) Anniversary blog post takes a slightly different view of BHL’s “treasures.”

In _[The Treasure Between the Covers: Making BHL’s Articles Discoverable and Citable](https://blog.biodiversitylibrary.org/2026/06/article-data)_, Rod Page @rdmpage looks beyond the “old and pretty” to the article-level data and identifiers that make biodiversity knowledge in BHL discoverable, citable, and connected to modern research.

Rod has contributed more than 260,000 articles to BHL. In this post, he explores the challenges of matching article metadata to digitised volumes, the importance of DOIs, the need for open bibliographic data, and the potential role of AI in future article discovery.
