Hello everyone,
The BHL server move has reached its biggest milestone.
From 25–30 June, BHL’s web traffic will switch from the Smithsonian to the Field Museum, and key servers will make their way to Chicago.
During this stage, BHL will remain online, but some website features will be temporarily unavailable:
-
Full-text search
-
Search filters
-
On-demand PDFs / “Download Contents > Select Pages to Download”
Search will be catalog-only during this period.
Normal service is expected to resume after 30 June, once the servers have arrived and been installed at the Field Museum.
Thank you for your patience as BHL completes this important step toward its new technical home and a more resilient future.
