We’re delighted to officially welcome Amanda Boczar and Leora Siegel (lsiegel) to two newly created positions on the BHL Executive Committee.
Amanda has been appointed BHL’s inaugural Strategic Development Officer, bringing additional capacity to our fundraising, development, and financial sustainability work. Amanda represents the University of South Florida Libraries, one of BHL’s newest Members, and is already closely involved in our strategic planning as co-lead of the Collection Development and Discovery writing group.
Leora joins the EC as our first Member-at-Large. This new position is open to both Member and Affiliate staff and helps broaden representation within BHL governance. Many in the community will already know Leora through her long involvement with BHL and the Chicago Botanic Garden, including her role in co-hosting the 2024 BHL Annual Meeting. She is also contributing to the Operational Sustainability strategic planning group.
Amanda and Leora officially joined the EC in July, and we’re very pleased to have them helping guide BHL through this next stage of its development.
